No-knead bread

No-Knead BreadThere’s an ongoing debate in our house about crust – specifically rustic crust. I’m all for a good crunch and a chewy crumb. My better half is more of a connoisseur of “soft caramelization”. No-knead bread is definitely more my style. But, his protests aren’t enough to deter him from eating it.

  1. I was always the chief wrangler of wild yeast at our house. But ever since my husband started building a pizza/bread oven in the back garden, he has been perfecting his bread and pizza dough in prep for when we fire up the oven. It was a bit threatening at first, but I’ve learned to love sharing the daily-bread duty. His stuff is delicious. And two styles means variety!

Yours is a beautiful loaf! And I’m with you on no-knead!

  2. I would love to make your no-knead bread but I looked under cooking and there are no recipes….can you help? I am a new reader from Eastern WA.
    Thank you so much!

  3. Hi Kat,

I used the recipe from the original New York Times article on no-knead bread:
