I have seen it sold in stores - so I imagine you could do a hot water bath. It's so easy to make and goes pretty quickly though, so I like to just make it fresh.

Hi Kat,

I used the recipe from the original New York Times article on no-knead bread:

yum - will be trying your lemon curd recipe as soon as my sole lemon finishes turning yellow...how much does this recipe make? do you know if waterboiling it will keep it longer or is it definitely only something you can make fresh?

That would be the most awesome superpower ever...willing delicious food to appear. I would have been able to have that mousse chocolat after all.

Seriously though, I would make you 10 salade lyonnaise if you would consider creating a new master plan for Lents Park as one of your class projects (if it fits in to the program of course). I'm having a hard time getting folks around here to imagine it being a better place for a more diverse group of users...particularly more passive users like folks walking through it to get to the town center, seniors and people that just want a quiet place to sit and chat or read.

I was always the chief wrangler of wild yeast at our house. But ever since my husband started building a pizza/bread oven in the back garden, he has been perfecting his bread and pizza dough in prep for when we fire up the oven. It was a bit threatening at first, but I've learned to love sharing the daily-bread duty. His stuff is delicious. And two styles means variety!

Yours is a beautiful loaf! And I'm with you on no-knead!

We're already spoiled by the egg co-op eggs. I don't think we could ever go back to factory farmed eggs.

But a backyard flock works out for all parties. We get cutie-pie chickens and someone on the waiting list gets our co-op shift.

I'm excited for your urban chicken adventure. After a month of them laying eggs, you will wonder why every urban house doesn't keep a small flock.

I ordered the Hyland's brand homeopathic Bioplasma and Calcium Phosphate from vitacost.com . They're in the same dosage/are the human tablets.

This is my first experience with a cross beak chick. From what I've read, as long as they can figure out how to eat and drink, they are usually fine. Sometimes you need to help them eat by letting them eat alone, and/or adding extra nutrition to their diet. I read that adding baby parrot formula can help if they get too thin.
